1: Contributes to project implementation:
- Supervises all engineering works related to any infrastructures
- Contributes to the information sharing regarding activities planning.
- Monitors the projects activities, in order to evaluate, promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes, in line with TGH frameworks and SOPs
- Participates in the assessments upon identified needs by the management team
- Provides technical support to the WASH and shelter team in link with the line manager
- Uses all the required tools, guidelines, work standards
- Collects, analyses and shares data for all the projects within TGH framework
- Ensures that TGH’s global strategy in Syria is clear for all staff members
- Ensures that TGH’s global strategy in Syria is clear for local communities and ensures that the activities are known and accepted
- Ensures that all project documents are properly and timely filled
- Guarantees archiving off all the project related documents as per TGH guidelines
- Participates to the procurements related documents upon request, prepare purchase requests, anticipate the purchases in link with program and logistic team
- Participates upon needs and as per requested to deliveries of materials, tools and equipment required for education and protection activities
- Participates as needed and requested to identify suppliers in the field, collect prices and report it to the line manager
2: Hygiene Promotion team management:
- Oversees the work of the volunteers under her/his management
- Follows up the attendance sheets and reports to the manager on a weekly basis
- Organizes as per needed the planning of HP volunteers/workers in coordination with relevant interlocutors
- Ensures the link and the communication flow between TGH and all external entities involved in HP: meetings, minute
- Guarantees archiving of all the documents.
3: Internal and external reporting – communication:
Internal:
- Ensures the internal reporting as requested by the line manager
- Participates to writing of concept note, proposal, report or any document for donors
- Remains in line with TGH’s communication channel and enquires about them if/when unclear
- Ensures that the project documents are properly filled and timely sent
- Provides the line manager with photos, success stories on regular basis
- Reports immediately any trouble met by the team while implementing the activities, or related to any topic connected to TGH and its presence on the field
External:
- Participate in the external reporting of project activities for local authorities & partners, if requested by the line manager
- Attends coordination meetings when needed with external partners, locality, SARC, Sub-WASH Sector and send a minute to the line manager
- Ensures communication with all relevant local authorities (line Ministries & municipalities) and partners (SARC) in line with TGH’s frame and reports to the line manager
4: Ensure translation into English/Arabic as soon as necessary for working documents:
- Translate in case of misunderstanding for employees
- Translating memos or other documents as necessary.

Qualification and experience:
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably within an INGO
- Good knowledge and experience in project cycle, advanced excel and reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of SPHERE and INEE standards. Previous experience in the same position
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering or environmental science.
- Good level in written and spoken English.
- Good computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-point.

Established in 1994 TGH is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) designing and implementing emergency, rehabilitation and development programs. Its action includes several areas of expertise within a comprehensive approach: the programs fall within the fields of Education; Water Hygiene & Sanitation; Food Security, Livelihood & Rural Development. In 2018, TGH operates in 10 countries and manages 70 programs.
TGH has been registered in Syria in May 2017 and works under the coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). Both Organisations have agreed to cooperate in order to enhance their common objective of offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian affected people that need help wherever it is possible in the country. The main TGH sectors of activities in Syria are WASH and Education.
A preliminary assessment in the WASH sector has been carried-out by TGH from 18th July to 27th July 2017 under the coordination and with the support of SARC. Another one has been conducted by TGH team and SARC in Hama in October 2018.
Since then, TGH signed 2 WASH projects in Hama under SHF and Rural Damascus under CDCS, and is planning to submit project proposal to various donors in 2019.
