Objective 1: Effective management of the bases MEAL team, with technical support from the MEAL Coordinator
-Supervise Monitoring, Accountability, Evaluation and Learning activities through monthly and weekly plans prepared
-Ensure high quality MEAL outputs including reports, information sets, MEAL plans and updates are shared on time
-Validate admin, HR, and log requests of staff in the team (leaves, transport requests, etc.)
-Support the teams capacity building of the base s MEAL team
-Ensure the MEAL departments key resources are allocated effectively and used efficiently in the base (plan, budget, etc.)
Objective 2: Work closely with the MEAL Coordinator to ensure the missions MEAL strategy are integrated and harmonized with other bases
-Regularly update the Coordinator on the MEAL framework implementation progress, problems, and opportunities
-Support the continued development and adaptation of the MEAL tools to the context to ensure fit-for-purpose monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
-Support research activities
Objective 3: Support the development of MEAL tools, methodologies, guidelines, and capacity building materials
-Ensure the base projects have functional and results-oriented M&E process
-Regularly participate in field visits and information collection for MEAL activities
-Train the team on new tools and support their continued capacity building
-Support the MERL Coordinator and Feedback Assistant in training the bases staff to raise awareness on humanitarian accountability
-Support the Feedback Assistant in conducting field visits focused on stakeholder feedback
Objective 4: General Responsibilities:
-Adhere to the terms of the Action Against Hunger International Code of Conduct and associated policies, including understanding and following protocols in relation to safeguarding (children and vulnerable adults), and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)

-Experience in project cycle management, research, data gathering and management, quantitative/qualitative analysis and reporting in English.
-Quantitative/qualitative interview and facilitation skills Experience with humanitarian needs assessments Gender and protection mainstreaming related experience is a plus
-At least 2 years of experience in MEAL, and with experience in a comparable environment at an NGO, national, or international organization
-Demonstrated abilities in the design and implementation of MEAL systems.
-Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection approaches and tools.
-Capacity to facilitate work with community-level actors in planning, design, implementation of MEAL systems and processes.
-Experience in project cycle management, research, data gathering and management, quantitative/qualitative analysis and reporting in English.

-Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with PowerBI, KOBO / ODK and/or other data management, analysis, and visualization software is a plus Experience with GIS software such as QGIS is a plus
-Proficiency in English (speech and writing)Fluency in Arabic (speech and writing)
-Mobility within Syria and outside of Syria
