Responsibilities
(S)he is responsible for mentoring young trainees in life skills and entrepreneurship, providing young people with the lifelong skills they need to be successful and excel through adolescence with confidence and certainty. The life skills path is based on AVSI manual, and it is composed of 8 modules.
Module 1: Getting Started - Focuses on building rapport between the facilitator and the participants, as well as between the participants themselves.
Module 2: Getting to Know Myself - Will support young people to better understand their own identity, emphasizing strengths and character areas that could be strengthened.
Module 3: Relationships - Addresses the management of interpersonal relationships, a very critical issue in young people's lives.
Module 4: Dealing with Emotions - Will focus on supporting young people to internalize and manage emotions.
Module 5: Passive, Aggressive and Assertive Behavior - Will detail a behavioral comparison between passivity, aggressiveness and assertiveness.
Module 6: Communication - Focuses on developing young people's communication skills.
Module 7: Decision-making - Will focus on the development of skills that enable an individual to make informed decisions or choices without risking their own life or the lives of others.
Module 8: Achieving My Goals and Dreams - This will help young people to develop their needs/desires/dreams and will provide some steps towards achieving them.


Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working as a career coach.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications and data-entry software.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
• Plan and implement life skills sessions for 12 groups of young people over 16 months.
• Prepare relevant material useful during the sessions with the youth.
• Provide youth with counselling to attain their personal and professional objectives.
• Support young people in the elaboration of a personal priority and development plan.
• Support and encourage the youth in creating a path towards their aspirations, embracing new perspectives and formulating a detailed plan of action.
• Implement feedback mechanisms to foster a collaborative and empowering environment.
• Provide, collect and verify monitoring tools, ensuring efficiency and transparency.
• Submit activity reports and provide regular feedback on the ongoing interventions.
• Coordinate with the other career coaches to maximize the effectiveness of the intervention.
• Support the Project manager and the PSS focal point during field visits.
• Participate in coordination meetings to create activity plans and follow up schedules.
• Support the Project manager point in the reporting phase.
• Deal with different departments (MEAL, Finance) to smooth the monitoring and evaluation phases of projects, as well as the production of internal documents.
