Responsibilities
Road to Resilience: Making Rural Agricultural Communities in Syria more viable (RRMACS) aims to enhance the resilience of rural communities, with a particular focus on women and youth in six target governorates: Hama, Homs, Aleppo, Rural Damascus, Tartus, and Sweida. This will be achieved through (i) engaging the small-holder farmers in Farmers Groups and enhancing the cooperative actions, (ii ) strengthening strategic agriculture, horticulture, and livestock value chains (iii) increasing access to agriculture business services and financing.
The Operations Assistant- Logistics Support is responsible for providing the highest level of logistics support for the project/unit activities and administration, preparation of activity requirements, receipts, warehousing, and materials distribution. The incumbent will report directly to the Project Coordinator and indirectly to the Logistics Management Team Leader.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate closely with the Project Coordinator and Assets, Warehouse, and Logistics Support Management Officer to provide the logistic requirements of activities in a timely manner.
- Provide support in organizing all events conducted by the project (distribution of material, meetings, workshops, field days, training, etc.) and supervise the preparation of needed equipment/tools as per the requirements.
- Provide the project needs of stationery and cleaning materials with the related staff.
- Contribute to preparing budget regarding logistic items and tangible assets of the project.
- Warehouse management and adhering to standard warehouse conditions.
- Warehouse regularly inventory, registering input and output materials.
- Submit regular in-progress, weekly and monthly reports about quantities, values, incoming materials, stocks, and distribution.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Management Unit to facilitate the transportation and shipment of goods and materials inside and outside the region.
- Continuous follow-up to security and safety procedures enforcement in line with the organization's policy.
- Coordinate with AKF maintenance team to follow up buildings, offices and assets maintenance works related to the Project.
- Doing direct purchase processes in accordance with the procurement policy.
- Follow-up procurement and logistics needs of the project partners such as associations and community-based cooperatives, if required.
- Coordinate with Assets and Warehouses Unit to follow up fixed assets tracking and reporting.
- Post-activity logistic arrangements including following up invoices, bills and expense statements in
coordination with the Project Officer and Administrative Assistant according to AKF Finance policy and
procedures.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in Economics, Statistics or other related fields.
- At least one year of relevant experience.
- Inventory Training and Supply chain training
- Knowledge of warehouse management.
- Good negotiation, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and do multiple tasks.
- Accountability and trustfulness.
- Good English and Computer skills (MS Office especially Excel and Access)
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
