Responsibilities
•Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of daily Mental Health and psychosocial support sessions (MHPSS) and regular awareness sessions) Education, Child protection, Hygiene) tailored to the needs of children.
•Provide needed training sessions for the volunteering team, enhancing their understanding of psychosocial support principles.
•Facilitating conflict resolution and promoting peaceful interactions among children, with the aim of preventing physical altercations.
•Foster collaboration with stakeholders, including authorities, teams, and local partners, to ensure alignment with project goals.
•Support the procurement process by identifying the needs of MHPSS and awareness sessions.
•Ensure timely and accurate reporting of undertaken activities.
•Act as a guide for volunteering team in dealing with children and adult people and any issue related to child safeguarding.
•Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
•Handle all SOS property appropriately, including the financial resources.



Child Safeguarding (CS):
•Child protection is everyone's responsibility.
•Each child has the right to learn.
•Ensure early detection of any abusive or inappropriate behavior and handle it in proper way to minimize the child safety risks.
•Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles.
•Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately.
•Following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the respective line manager or the local child safeguarding team, or to any other member of the national CS team.


Qualifications
•Good knowledge of standards and current directions of development in the field of child’s rights approach, and social welfare systems
•Good knowledge of legal issues relating to social welfare + child rights..
•High level of communication skills
•Ability to work in stressful condition
•Computer literacy (MS Office)
•Motivation for work focused on children and families.
•Ability to gather, analyze, evaluate and integrate important information


Specific Vacancy Requirements
•Any certificates, license, and training related to the field that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
•A master's degree in a related field is preferred
•Preferable previous experience in the humanitarian sector.
•A team player who is culturally astute, respectful and tolerant.


Salary and Benefits
Contract for Six Months with the option of extension.
6 Months contract with the option of extension
