Responsibilities
Climate and Economic Resilience through Livestock Intensification in Syria (CERLIS) project aims to contribute to increasing resilience to food crisis and climate change in the target governorates of Hama, Homs, and Aleppo.
The Driver will be responsible for assisting in transportation services for AKF staff and materials for the projects’ activities. The incumbent will support in providing some logistic tasks for the office in coordination with the Operations Department at the main office in Salamieh. The incumbent will report to the Travel and Fleet Management Officer at the main office for the technical functions and to the regional management authority for the administrative functions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practicing safe driving habits to transport AKF staff, guests and goods by vehicles provided by AKF.
- Conduct basic maintenance checks.
- Mapping out the routes.
- Maintain vehicle hygiene.
- Check all relevant equipment.
- Adherence to traffic laws and safety standards as well as AKF-related policy.
- Understand and adhere to all details and precautions of the assigned travels provided by the Travel and Fleet Management Officer and the AKF security focal points.
- Keeping logs and providing traffic and maintenance reports as requested.
- Pick up and deliver AKF messages, papers, and goods internally and externally.
- Review the vehicles expenses and the bills in addition to the monthly liquidation of all cash advances according to the approved Finance procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures.
- Full commitment to AKF Safeguarding standards.
- Provide support in various issues related to the office requirements.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a high school degree.
- The applicant must have a Driver’s license type “D”.
- At least two years of working experience in driving.
- Experience in Local, domestic and international roads and sub-roads as well as the geography of places and roads and has knowledge of locations utilities.
- Has vehicles maintenance knowledge and skills.
- Experience in traffic laws and safety standards
- Good command of English
- Knowledge of special Radio terminology.
- Experience in performing emergency procedures.
- Ability to travel abroad.
- Good Communication skills.
- Based in Aleppo.
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
