Responsibilities
- Prepare a weekly list of works and items required to implement with all needed quantities (Bill of Quantity- BoQ)
- Oversee and monitor the daily activity of the contractor.
- Check items and materials provided by the contractor against BoQ and verify that all the materials comply with the technical specifications in terms of quantity and quality.
- Provide technical expertise by Shading light on specific quality and of required works and items to be added in the technical specification document.
- Report any variation in the quantity or quality of the materials used by the contractor against the agreed BoQ.
- Participate in all tests conducted on items or materials required for implementation. Acquire all test results and report them back to the technical officer.
- Request from contractor’s additional tests for items and materials as works required after approval from the technical officer/manager. Also, may perform minor on-site tests
- Cooperate with the MEAL team to conduct during and post-implementation monitoring visits, surveys, and reports. This may include filling out DDM/ PDM forms and questionnaires and conducting KIIs and FGDs related to MEAL

Qualifications
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical)

Experience:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in site monitoring for engineering projects.
•Minimum 1 year of experience in NGOs' WASH projects.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in solar system installation monitoring.

Skills:
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Good IT skills (MS office, Autocad, PVSyst)
•Ability to apply logical and critical thinking
•Good communication skills both spoken and written

Specific Vacancy Requirements
The Site Engineers are recruited for part-time duration to cover the project implementation, with a maximum period of 35 days, scheduled between February and April 2024.

We will conclude the job announcement after the span of 10 days.

It is essential that these site engineers come from the local communities.
