KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Escort field trips as per the Security management plan.
• Monitor, track and log the movement of all Oxfam related trips.
• Support the hub security officer in developing and updating the SRA (Security Risk Analysis)
• Deliver safety and security induction and briefing to field teams.
• Prepare Situational and adhoc report.
• Deliver safety and security related training.
• Other duties as specified from time to time

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• relevant experience in humanitarian no less than 1 year.
• (preferred) Previous work experience in emergency response.
• Previous experience in humanitarian work in a similar context.
• Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
• good skills in using maps application.
• Good competency in Microsoft Office applications
• Good competency in using mapping application.
• Team-working skills.
• Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
• Ability to work with others to develop vision into strategy and communicate and influence this to a wider audience.
• Ability to create the environment to enable others to achieve their objectives and to be able to develop their skills and abilities.
Desirable
• Knowledge of Syria context in terms of its political, economic and social trends plus a good understanding of safety and security measures/protocols.
• Team-working skills.
• Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
• Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.
• Good communication skills

While Oxfam has been present in the region since 1970, it began operating in Syria through its Damascus based presence in July 2013. Since then, Oxfam has been responding to both the urgent WASH needs for vulnerable people, and has been working on the rehabilitation of water systems in order to provide durable, more sustainable solutions to the affected populations. Interventions implemented under Oxfam's WASH Programme include: Provision of Acute Emergency Life-Saving WASH Services, Rehabilitation of Water Systems, Hygiene Promotion and Water Conservation, Capacity Building and Training, and Improved Emergency WASH Coordination. To date, Oxfam has been worked in 10 governorates, seeking out to over 2.5 million beneficiaries.
