Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision and support of the Senior Project Officer, the Mental therapist will perform the following tasks in the framework of COOPI’s activities in the targeted areas, and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, provide early intervention therapy services as follows:
- Conduct field visits with mobile team for assessment and to identify people with Mental Therapy needs in communities and targeted locations;
- Planning and providing appropriate treatment activities;
- Giving advice, arranging support and guiding family members, care-givers on how to follow-up on treatments procedures;
- Referral of beneficiaries to external service providers when necessary;
- Monitor the progress of the patients and follow-up;
- Develop success story for best cases and share with the Senior Project officer;
- Ensure quality, transparency and efficiency in all aspects of the work and most off all accountability and respect of the beneficiary;
- Provide periodic reports to line manager on beneficiaries’ progress and follow up.
- Maintain high level of confidentiality of all documents, issues and personal data of the beneficiaries;
- Report to the line manager for possible requests;
- Perform additional jobs on request;

Qualifications
- degree in the relevant topic or experience
- a minimum of three years of relevant working experience;
- experience in international relief and development in a similar position is an asset
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, multi-tasking skills
- Proven capacity to work in a team in a challenging context is essential
- Experience in liaising with governmental/local authorities, IOs and NGOs
- Demonstrated ability to work in stressful environments and under pressure;
- previous experience in similar context/project is an asset
- Knowledge of Arabic
- Knowledge of English is an asset
