Objective 1: ensure successful implementation of projects according to AAH and standards and protocols
-Contribute to the proposal preparation by providing inputs on implementation modalities of the intervention by capitalizing on former experiences (lessons learnt and best practices
-Plan, organize and conduct kick-off meeting, ensuring the participation of all relevant departments and implementing partner(s), if needed.
-Participate in preparing and revising monthly the following AAH project tools once the project starts including Project Procurement Plan, BFU and work plan
Objective 2: To contribute building the capacity of AAH and implementing partner staff according to the needs identified
-Capitalize on lessons learnt and best practices of their project/s and contribute to internal evaluation exercises (in collaboration/with participation of partners, if needed) with the aim of improving the quality of services delivery to the beneficiaries.
-organize internal review workshop, during and/or at the end of their project, in collaboration with and with the contribution of the technical and support departments
Objective 3: To contribute to developing and implementing strategies and programming in the mission
-Incorporate Risk management in every activity and actions.
-Contribute identifying ideas/fields of intervention for AAH positioning and strategy for new programs, pilot projects, new geographical areas of interventions
-Support the management and/or the coordinators in meetings and field visits with Donors, UN Agencies, other NGOs, sector working groups etc. when requested.
Objective 4: To contribute to coordination and information
-Collect top-line updates from all program managers regarding the status of the implementation (activity-, procurement-, and budget-wise) in the area-based projects and share the information in a compact way to the DCDs and CD upon request
-provide timely support to the program managers based in the field offices to troubleshoot problems that can slow down the implementation in the base.
-Support with representation tasks in Damascus with SARC and line ministries for the facilitation of the implementation of the programs upon requests

-University Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., social sciences, economics, international development, or any related field)
-Solid knowledge and experience of Project Cycle Management and strategic planning - compulsory
-Technical knowledge of implementing emergency and early recovery interventions - compulsory
-Proven knowledge and experience in proposal and report writing (preferably for ECHO, OFDA, SIDA, GAC, OCHA, AECID, UNICEF) – compulsory
-3 years of professional experience and leadership in management and coordination of humanitarian programs, operations and team, including at country senior management level
-2 years of direct experience in implementing emergency and/or early recovery responses (principles, standards and coordination), monitoring and evaluation of projects, and grants management
-2 years of direct experience leading assessments, project design and proposal writing, including budget development
-Proven experience in negotiating and advocating with authorities and donors in a post-conflict context with a strong respect of local culture and tradition
-Solid knowledge and experience of Project Cycle Management and strategic planning - compulsory
-Technical knowledge of implementing emergency and early recovery interventions - compulsory
-Proven knowledge and experience in proposal and report writing (preferably for ECHO, OFDA, SIDA, GAC, OCHA, AECID, UNICEF) – compulsory

-Gender mainstreaming and minimum standards in humanitarian sector
-Protection mainstreaming and minimum standards in humanitarian sector
-Accountability to Affected Populations Operational Framework
Knowledge of HNO-HRP process and humanitarian transformative agenda
-Knowledge of emergency standards including SPHERE
-Arabic (compulsory) and English (compulsory working language, fluent spoken, read and written)
-High level of MS office applications (Word/Excel, power point);
