Responsibility 1: Implementing psychosocial and case management activities
Ensures the Protection activities in schools
Participates in the identification and selection of children at risk, according to standard vulnerability TGH criteria’s
Conducts follow-ups and family visits to provide, within the project frame, psychosocial first aid, psychosocial support or any other needed assistance, depending on the child and family’s needs
Creates and implements new adapted and tailored recreational activities to improve the children’s well being
Ensures that high risk cases are immediately discussed with direct supervisors
Guarantees that the overall case management from identification to closer remains in line with TGHs Syrian mission SOPs (Standard operational procedures)
Ensures the awareness activities of the parents and communities on children’s rights and children’s wellbeing
Supervises the data management of the cases, using the case management tools: documentation of cases, referrals, etc
Guarantees the confidentiality of the archived files regarding the cases followed
Responsibility 2: Participating in the implementation of Education activities
Supervise the education activities in school and the volunteers conducting NFE activities
Coordinate with school principals and teacher and admin staff to conduct NFE activities and education awareness.
Supervise the BTL campaign among the communities of areas of intervention
Ensure providing the required documents related to Education Activities.
Responsibility 3: Reporting, Communication and coordination
Ensures activities, results, challenges and lessons learned are accurately documented in timely manner and are available to the line Manager while preserving the confidentiality principles
Supervise the referral cases with the identified actors keeping the confidentiality principles
Contributes to the communication with the Community Based committees already existing in the field.
Report on the progress of the work-plan on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Participates in weekly meetings regarding the activities of the project with the Line manager and provides updates
Monitors and communicates on the evolution of the context and actors ; reports immediately each unusual incident, event
Responsibility 4: Providing awareness and capacity building in child protection with the community based approach
Monitors and contributes to the identification of the awareness needs
Conducts awareness sessions to the communities focusing on child protection
Participates in capacity building of community based structures/public services (for instance: Child Protection Committee, teachers, authorities, etc) on child protection
Mobilize and follow up community volunteers
Responsibility 5: Ensuring translation into English/Arabic as soon as necessary for working documents
Translate in case of misunderstanding for employees
Translating memos or other documents as necessary

•At least 1 year of child protection experience.
•Bachelor Degree in social studies or related field.

Established in 1994 TGH is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) designing and implementing emergency, rehabilitation and development programs. Its action includes several areas of expertise within a comprehensive approach: the programs fall within the fields of Education; Water Hygiene & Sanitation; Food Security, Livelihood & Rural Development. In 2018, TGH operates in 10 countries and manages 70 programs.
TGH has been registered in Syria in May 2017 and works under the coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). Both Organisations have agreed to cooperate in order to enhance their common objective of offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian affected people that need help wherever it is possible in the country. The main TGH sectors of activities in Syria are WASH and Education.
A preliminary assessment in the WASH sector has been carried-out by TGH from 18th July to 27th July 2017 under the coordination and with the support of SARC. Another one has been conducted by TGH team and SARC in Hama in October 2018.
Since then, TGH signed 2 WASH projects in Hama under SHF and Rural Damascus under CDCS, and is planning to submit project proposal to various donors in 2019.
