Education & Protection Field Assistant is responsible for providing administrative assistance and field monitoring in the schools and areas where Education & Protection Project carries out its activities in Rural Damascus governorate. Moreover, those can be summarized in:
- Conducting needs assessments for education & Protection activities when requested,
- Collect E&P beneficiaries’ information, and Monitor attendance when they are enrolled in E&P activities, and follow up any changes.
- Monitor & Evaluate the education & protection activities by evaluating teachers and education lessons. In addition, monitor children needs in schools.
- Carries out recreational activities inside and outside PUI schools
- Organize awareness campaigns regarding different Education & protection topics.
- Submit weekly report or activities reports with relative photos.
- Assist in organizing and monitoring other E&P supporting activities “Student Initiatives”.
- Assist in organizing various surveys and evaluations for the activities and conduct them.
- Assist in the logistical aspect of the activities by organizing and following up the distribution of student kits, school supplies, and any other supplies to students and schools.
- Assist in the procurement of materials for E&P activities and awareness sessions.
- Organize and monitor training workshops for schools’ teachers
- The activities are taking place in Rural Damascus within different locations in (East Ghouta).

- Intermediate Institute or University degree in Education, Literature, or any other related discipline
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably in education, administration, protection activities within an NGO.
- Previous knowledge of working with children is preferred.
- Good level of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Good knowledge of Ms. Office package.
- Good skills in photographing.
- Previous experience in child protection, psychological support activities is preferable.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably in education, administration, protection activities within an NGO.
- Previous knowledge of working with children is preferred.
- Good level of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Good knowledge of Ms. Office package.
- Good skills in photographing.
- Previous experience in child protection, psychological support activities is preferable.

The current operational strategy for Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) in Syria is to alleviate the human suffering of the Syrian people in Syria by delivering sound, needs-based humanitarian assistance, while promoting a life-sustaining response. PUI's positioning on, shelter, education, livelihoods, and WaSH sectors remain a priority.
Based on ten years of experience conducting humanitarian operations in Syria, supporting Iraqi refugees and lately Syrians affected by the crisis, PUI has played an important role in responding to the needs of the population within nine governorates (Aleppo, Damascus, Rural Damascus, Homs, Hama, Tartous, Lattakia & Deraa ) and through the following interventions:
- Rehabilitation of collective and private shelters,
- Rehabilitation of infrastructure
- Emergency and Early Recovery WASH interventions
- Education support for conflict-affected populations (remedial classes, school rehabilitation, free exam preparations, summer class activities, community based initiatives and psycho social support),
- Enhancement of the Population of Syria self-reliance through livelihoods (vocational training course, provision of a professional tool kit ((PTK)).
