Site Engineer /WASH project (Water and Sewage rehabilitation)

-Hand over the site from Water Establishment.
Supervise the implementation processes of the terms of the contract and make sure they meet the book of technical conditions.
-Follow-up the progress of work according to the time plan in the contract and prepare the reports about that.
-Supporting preparing technical specification, drawings, and Bill of quantities for any required modification if requested.
-Verification that supplied items meets the technical offer (Quantity and Quality)
-Liaison with the representative of Water establishment in Damascus.
-On location liaison with Water Economy Unit, municipality, and all involved authorities.
-Take photographs for work progress as part of record keeping, email on request to Medair Damascus office.
-Preparing weekly progress report.
-Preparing work of statement for the contractors.
-Preparing quantity survey record for works done.
-Follow-up of all required water tests and send them to Medair office in Damascus.
-Supervise and participate in all required project’s test.

-Participate in acceptance procedures and prepare acceptance report and make sure it be signed from all the related authorities and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 8 years related professional experience in WASH
rehabilitation works (water and sewage community level
projects).
- Experience in site supervision and working with contractors.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office programs, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of working in Rural Damascus especially Eastern Ghota .
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- NGO Experience.
- Good networking ability.
- Knowledge of WaterCad.
- Native Arabic speaker – excellent written and oral
communications.
- English – acceptable oral and written communication.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Medair Salary Scale for Short Term Staff.
