The Reporting and Communication Officer will:
1. Support program staff in data collection, gathering of background information, preparation of social stories;
2. Use available information to conduct analysis and research related to situation and needs of the people;
3. Develop case studies for reports;
4. Ensure that information and data from the field is captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a timely manner;
5. Submit frequent situation reports;
6. Contribute to the proposal development process;
7. Undertake filed visits to gather the information and results related to the program;
8. Provide high quality editing and formatting for all program related documents;
9. Provide relevant services to the program management, program components and implementing partners on reporting and communications;
10. Ensure the maintenance of sound filing system and appropriate use and recording of all project experience, activities and results;
11. Translation of Arabic documents to English and vice versa;
12. Perform any other duties assigned by the project management as per need of the program.

A. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills; advanced written communication; familiarity with international donor regulations; inter-personal communication skills; ability to build positive relationships with staff; team work spirit.
B. Competencies: Ability to build strong personal and organizational relationships with all internal and external staff and contacts; tenacity in observing procedures, ability to think strategically, analyze issues, and make appropriate recommendations
C. Education: Relevant university degree and fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
D. Experience: Previous reporting and communication experience in the humanitarian sector.
