1. Finance – 80%
Responsible for financial management on the level of the Syria office. This includes mainly financial management responsibilities, but also entails responsibility for cash management and financial controlling framework development:
1.1. Supporting the development of local financial regulations or adjustment of organization generic regulations.
1.2. Ensure that project development teams are supported in the preparation of new project budgets.
1.3. Management accounting, financial analysis.
1.3.1. Support in preparation of operating budgets with spending analysis.
1.3.2. Preparation of cash-flow forecasts.
1.3.3. Keep up-to-date information about the balance of the cash in the cash bookkeeping.
1.4. Financial accounting.
1.4.1. Reconciliation and filing of bank statements on a monthly basis with appropriate approval.
1.4.2. Supervising the Finance Team to ensure efficient operation of the Finance department.
1.4.3. Book-keeping
1.4.4. Cash management.
1.4.4.1. Ensure that payments and repayments are made on time.
1.4.4.2. Cash Count on a monthly basis
1.4.5. Payroll
1.5. Financial controlling and audit.
1.6. Managing individual grant expenditure concerning contractual grant conditionality.
1.7. Production of all financial reports and proposals based on existing financial management system and donor requirements.
1.8. Analysis of capacity needs for partners
1.9. Delivering capacity-building exercises to partners
1.10. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
2. Logistics and Procurement – 10%
2.1. Supporting the development of local logistics and procurement regulations or adjustment of organization generic regulations.
2.2. Announcement of tenders and follow-up with the procurement steps (administrative setup and support for the committee)
2.3. Asset management.
2.4. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
3. Office – 10%
3.1. General supporting office operation
3.2. Support in setting up new offices if required.
3.3. Management of keys and access for the Syria office.
3.4. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

1. 4+ years of relevant experience in a similar position and responsibility levels;
2. knowledge of project cycle management and budgeting tools or good knowledge of the respective function and program support,
3. Project or sub-function level responsibility;
4. B.A. combined with practical experience is a must, and M.A./higher studies/certifications are preferred
5. Fluent in English and Arabic
