Responsibilities
The Fixed Assessment staff will be responsible for overseeing the beneficiary targeting process using the approved beneficiary selection criteria to ensure that the most vulnerable community members are accurately identified and included in the program. The incumbent will report directly to the Project Coordinator.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the inclusion and exclusion of households in the program, ensuring that all decisions are well-documented.
- Address grievances related to targeting, including follow-up on cases referred to helpdesks as per the helpdesk Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that reports of assessment and verification are recorded, maintained, and shared with WFP in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all households, including those eligible, registered, pending, on waiting lists, with active cards, to be graduated, or with card issues.
- Monitor the effectiveness of targeting and beneficiary selection processes and recommend adjustments as necessary to improve accuracy and fairness. Carry out visits and participate in the targeting committees’ meetings.
- Train and support staff involved in the targeting process to ensure adherence to WFP standards.
- Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to facilitate the targeting process and address any community-level issues that may arise.
- Ensure that all targeting activities are documented in accordance with WFP guidelines and that data protection principles are applied to all collected beneficiary data.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any issues related to targeting, working closely with the Project Officer and WFP focal points to resolve problems efficiently.
- Work with the WFP M&E team and helpdesk staff to develop and implement monitoring and feedback systems related to targeting, ensuring that beneficiary feedback is considered in the targeting process.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to WFP and NGO management on targeting activities, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Follow “Do No Harm” principles and ensure neutrality, humanity, partiality and independence are promoted throughout the targeting process.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in a related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in relevant work.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good analytical, communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken) and computer skills.
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
