Responsibilities
•Assist ZOA team in preparing the project’s technical documents including the technical designs, drawings, BoQs, and BoCs; and prepare as-built drawings after completion of the works when required.
•Undertaking surveys, gathering data, and conducting assessments as requested by the line manager.
•Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available in the market.
•Ensure that the rehabilitation work is aligned with the standards and the requested specifications.
•Identify existing or potential risks to the safety in the proposed interventions and make recommendations to address them.
•Ensures that the implementation of the projects has been carried out with full compliance to the Book of Conditions (BoC) and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and the technical offer related to the project, and reports any changes or Low quality works level to the line manager.
•Verify and validate the quantities of the supplied and installed equipment and the rehabilitation works quantities of the rehabilitation projects.
•Prepare the daily progress reports (field visit reports) with the progress photos and fill in other required paperwork, templates, and deliver presentations when required in coordination with the line manager.
•Regular reporting of issues and potential problems facing the projects with suggested solutions.
•Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
•Communicate with contractors and/or their representatives and attend regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
•Ensure the safety of the workers and the worksite as per the national and international Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards in coordination with the safety team.
•Ensure that sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
•Obtain the necessary parties' signatures on the handover certificates and any other formal certificates.
•Provide photos to document each work stage, before the project start, during the implementation, and after completion.
•Archive hard copy and digital copies of the paperwork and documentation related to the completed project.
•Preform Any other duties relevant to the rehabilitation activities.


Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
•Experience in a similar role for at least five years, preferred with LNGO or INGO/UN agencies.
•Experience in irrigation systems rehabilitation project is a plus.
•Great leadership and organizational skills.
•Superb project management skills.
•Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
•A willingness to learn.
•communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, such as construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers.
•organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
