Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in the direct implementation of Oxfam FSL activities including community mobilisation, beneficiary registration and verification, cash or CFW, start-up capital agriculture inputs and livelihoods business support distribution process and monitoring, and livelihood infrastructure rehabilitation.
• Working with community members and representatives to facilitate the program implementation and proactively achieve solutions to problems arising.
• Carry out household interviews/surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and data collection as per plans. Data entry can be required.
• Provide support to implement program activity plans in line with agreed standard procedures and Oxfam Code of Conduct.
• Working in a team and coordinating with other FSL staff and with other department staff
• Supervision and follow up of beneficiaries to ensure data recording (attendance lists, meeting minutes, delivery notes, distribution lists, questionnaires, etc.).
• Support the process of resolving challenges with target communities and beneficiaries.
• Work patterns are high pressure and require proper judgement about basic adjustment and urgent action on routine.
• Collect and make local information accessible and usable by project management and non-specialists.
• Support the process of coordination with Project Support Committees and community leaders to participate in decision making and support delivery process.
• Support Agriculture and Livelihoods (Value chain and Agriculture) Officer, Field Assistants, and volunteers in engaging with communities through meetings and interviews.
• Drafting notes of field visits for review by programme team; preparing secondary data analysis and reports as required by the programme team.

In addition:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in FSL projects.
• Experience in implementing infrastructure projects, preferably within agriculture-related projects.
• Experience in market-based emergency food security, livelihood project activities, and value chain components is highly desirable.
• Relevant academic background preferable in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Economics or Agriculture.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of participatory approaches to deliver agriculture, livelihoods, cash grants, and infrastructure rehabilitation intervention with community leaders, local authorities, and local partners.
• Experience in gender and protection mainstreaming.
• Strong understanding of local socio-economic development issues, institutions and local contexts for target communities
• Strong ability to work within a team and consult with a wide range of staff colleagues.
• Flexibility and ability to manage work stress and to work under high pressure. Able to spend 100% time in the field.
• Pro-active and with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience in FSL projects.
