General Responsibilities:
Support the development of MEAL systems, including procedures, guidelines, and tools at the mission level.
Make sure that MEAL standards and tools are in place and being implemented at the field level while communicating any issues or in efficiencies to the MEAL team leader in a timely and proactive manner.
Advise management on MEAL solutions/options in the design of staffing, resourcing, and budgeting.
Support the program teams in planning for and executing MEAL activities, including, data collection methodologies and tools, and data management, analysis, and use.
Support the implementation, dissemination and use of evaluations and assessments. Also monitoring data in program development, adjustment, or review.
Assess MEAL technical capacity needs in the field office, prepare and implement a capacity-building plan on data collection, cleaning, analysis, presentation, and use with support from the MEAL Manager.
Promote mainstreaming of specific subjects and ensure that cross-cutting issues are implemented and reflected in programs with special focus on protection mainstreaming, gender, governance, and child safeguarding.
Ensure MEAL plan is elaborated for each project under its responsibility and adhered to.
Contribute to the development of MEAL tools including data collection instruments to inform SIF about strategic indicators.
Support project specific assessments and a multi-sectorial needs assessment. Also, support in beneficiary selection process.
Support in ensuring data quality of routine monitoring and evaluation data.
Specific Responsibilities under each MEAL function:
Monitoring:
Provide direct support to monitoring and evaluation processes of all the projects in the field site.
Supervise data entry processes and provide complete, accurate, and consistent data to the line manager to ease data analysis and action planning.
Take part in all data analysis and action planning meetings organized in the field.
Keep the database up to date and help the MEAL assistant prepare periodic high-quality monthly reports.
Conduct regular data verification and audit exercises to assess the quality of data reported and address any anomalies identified.
Submit to the line manager weekly and monthly updates on MEAL activities conducted in the field.
Contribute to the development of monthly, quarterly, annual reports.
Evaluation:
Provide support in Baseline, Endline Evaluations, Post Distribution Monitoring (PDMs), Satisfaction Surveys and other related household surveys in all the field.
Report evaluation activities and achievements to line manager.
Accountability:
Ensure project quality and accountability through field visits, providing support to program team and developing appropriate tools and mechanisms to enhance quality delivery of projects.
Ensure that the feedback channels for all areas are in place and appropriate for the affected population (this may include conducting field visits, surveys and facilitating FGD, running individual meetings with communities).
Support to ensure protection and gender sensitivity in all activities of the program.
Learning:
Provide timely information to the management team about risks related to the projects. Also, share recommendations with the program team and partners based on available data analysis.
Support the MEAL team leader in organisation of lessons learnt or action review workshops.
Contribute to organizational learning through supporting specific analysis, lessons learned, and reports.

-A bachelor's degree in economics, Political or Social Sciences, Quantitative or Statistical Analysis or other relevant degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience relevant in the field of monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in project proposal & report writing.
-Experience in project cycle management
-Ability to build, manage, motivate teams and individuals to achieve set objectives and targets.
-Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
