General Responsibilities
•Conduct EO land release operations as directed within the capacity of training as required.
•Assist in survey and mapping of EO areas.
•Assist in the disposal of EO.
•Assist in the clearance of Hazardous Areas.
Specific Duties:
Follow the instructions of the Team Leader (TL), expediently, safely, and without objections.
Accept responsibility for his/her safety and act in a disciplined way at all times.
Conducting Explosive Ordnance (EO) search in a dedicated area following NPA Syria SOP at all times.
Ensure that all equipment issued to him/her is well cleaned, maintained present in working order, and used in accordance with all technical instructions given during training.
Report all safety concerns or any damaged or missed PPE, tools, or equipment immediately to TL.
He/she is to follow the instructions given by the TFM/TL that ammunition, explosives, explosive accessories, and detonators are stored and transported safely.
Where required, he/she may be reassigned by the TFM to lead the clearance sub-team or assist the EOD team in the disposal procedure of EO.
Cooperating with NTS staff, and the local population when necessary.
Other tasks are given by the TL/TFM or another Supervisor.

Completed secondary school
Experience in outdoor work, preferably farming-related
Arabic reading and writing competence
Good health, sight, and hearing
Desirable:
Demining/BAC/Survey/NTS Course
Manual driver’s license.
Experience

•Experience of IMAS mine action activities
•Military experience of mine action related work
Personal Competencies:
•Good interpersonal skills
•Good communication and understanding skills
•Able to work effectively under stressful situations and adapt to difficult conditions
•Willingness and ability to travel within the country
