Responsibilities
The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating the project activities in adherence to WFP standards and guidelines. He/ she shall establish and enforce quality control procedures for all activities. The incumbent will report directly to the Project Coordinator.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for staff to ensure adherence to WFP standards and guidelines
- Conduct regular field visits to support project implementation and provide on-site leadership and problem-solving.
- Foster relationships with local authorities and community leaders to facilitate project acceptance and success.
- Work with the WFP M&E team and helpdesk staff to develop and implement monitoring and feedback systems and ensure that M&E systems are properly implemented and reported by team members.
- Approve project expenditures, carry out regular budget tracking and take the lead on official requests for modifications when needed in conjunction with the finance officer/accountant.

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in a related field.
- Two years of professional experience in relevant work.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills.
- Good stress management and ability to work under pressure.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken) and computer skills.
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
