Responsibilities
The Finance Officer is responsible for checking of all invoices/bills related to his/her respective departments/programmes, managing sector petty cash, data entries in FIS (IScala), and verification of related supporting documents. He/ she shall prepare expense summaries and comparison with budget/AWP. The incumbent will report directly to the Head of Academic.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check and verify daily invoices/bills for preparation to annual statutory audit and grant compliance/s
- Ensure all financial transactions strictly adhere to Policies and Procedures.
- Programme physical cash count on daily basis.
- Visit to various Programmes/Departments for preparing expense statements and other support at different
locations.
- Check the programme’s related contracts/proposals/agreements.
- Accounting entry to iScala and Cash Verification Report.
- Payroll transaction entries on monthly basis per data provided by the Human Resources Department (if required)
- Prepare monthly bank Reconciliation for all current bank accounts.
- Prepare analysis and due monitoring of the Annual Work Plan vs actual expenses for related programmes.
- Bank payments verification and processing and make sure that all supporting documents are provided i.e., contracts, invoices, etc.
- Prepare monthly Finance Fund Monitoring report and Monthly Funding Request.
- Support with annual budget preparation, monitoring and reporting

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in Economics or professional qualification in accounting.
- Two years of experience in the accounting field.
- Personal initiatives and self-motivation.
- Good time management, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Very good command of English and Computer skills especially Excel.
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
