Responsibilities
1. Carry out site survey to set Syriatel facilities mechanical works (HVAC- plumping –firefighting and alarming systems – fuel system, etc.) requirements.
2. Prepare Mechanical systems designs for Syriatel facilities based on set requirements according to site survey results or received from Enterprise Critical Facilities Section and technical studies prepared by contractors.
3. Review technical submittals (documents, drawings, etc…) prepared by providers or contractors, provide recommendations & Maintain records of all mechanical systems documentations, and update them upon any change.
4. Coordinate with other sections/units within department in order to design and prepare for the implementation of construction and renovation of Syriatel facilities.
5. Set and review the specifications and bill of quantities (BOQ) of mechanical equipment and works based on design, prepare and review cost estimation of power works when requested.
6. Check mechanical systems implementation versus design, evaluate effectiveness, apply changes on design when required.
7. Review Syrian Telecom (ST) claims about mechanical sources collocated with Syriatel.
8. Prepare the terms and conditions of mechanical works to be implemented by contractor.
9. Participate in preparing Portable Fire Extinguishers distribution plan to ensure their availability in all locations.
10. Participate in installation, commissioning, dismantling and following up all implemented mechanical works at Syriatel facilities by Contractor or Technicians through filed visits to ensure timely implementation of the approved design and engineering codes.
11. Prepare visit plan for all preventive and corrective maintenance; follow up the implementation at all Syriatel facilities and critical facilities.
12. Inspect mechanical equipment that are received from provider and returned from facility, when requested.
13. Prepare and issue the weekly items withdrawal plan, review mechanical equipment stock report prepared by Mechanical Technician and follow up the replenishment of stock with the concerned purchasing unit.
14. Validate and study maintenance test results provided by Mechanical Technicians and recommend the needed decision of items status.
15. Prepare the requested reports about mechanical works in facilities.
16. Participate with Mechanical Engineering Head of Section (HOS) in the technical assessments of relevant quotations and offers related to mechanical systems.
17. Inspect mechanical works implemented by Contractor/Technician and power systems performance after installation, commission, and apply final acceptance
18. Check Section & Individual Objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
19. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
20. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.
