Responsibilities
1. Conduct work place Analysis to identify the hazards and unsafe conditions in the workplace (Offices, Warehouses, Critical Facilities, etc.…) and propose control measures and health and safety standards.
2. Inspect through visiting company’s locations (Newly established / Existing), observe and ensure the adaptation of health and safety standards, highlight and report the possible risks on employees’ safety and recommend any preventive action.
3. Investigate the occurred incident and prepare reports with the necessary corrective actions and the recommendations for preventing any future one.
4. Apply Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for the work nature of company’s positions, identify the potential risks, propose the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and arrange for requesting and delivering them to employees.
5. Periodically check on the validity, availability and proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) under all eligible positions to avoid work injuries and escalate critical cases.
6. Analyze and review the health statement for employees with a job may expose them to injuries or disease.
7. Take samples of the served food in company’s cafeteria, carry out the periodic test to ensure abidance by health and safety standards.
8. Check safety factors in company’s drinking water, and coordinate for the regular and urgent requests of water testing and filters maintenance.
9. Check first aid kit and sterilizers validity, existence and sanitizers mixing percentage in locations and company vehicles, coordinate for materials replenishment ad choosing the best valued ones.
10. Ensure the readiness and validity of all firefight equipment placed in the company’s locations, provide recommendations on developing firefight systems based on suitable need and usage.
11. Coordinate for having comfort in the working environment such as pest-free, plants care, checking air ventilation and appropriate employees’ offices lightening.
12. Check the availability of the required safety tools inside Syriatel’s vehicles in coordination with Fleet Unit.
13. Participate in checking and analyzing the proposed projects that might require physical or outdoor work during the planning phase, provide suggestions and advice to ensure that safety standards are adapted.
14. Prepare reports and follow up the implementation of the suggested actions regarding health and safety situations with concerned parties.
15. Evaluate providers’ technical performance and report to procurement team.
16. Coordinate for providing the emergency team with the needed training on occupational health and safety and conduct periodic evacuation drills in all of the Company’s locations to ensure their readiness in case of facing possible hazard.
17. Conduct researches related to new HSE trends or pandemics treatments, ensure the alignment with the national and international standards and implement the needed training sessions to related positions in coordination with training team.
18. Archive and organize all health & Safety Unit files and update them regularly.
19. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
20. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
21. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.

Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
2. Experience: 1 year of experience in HSE is required.
3. Professional Certification: OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration) is a plus
