Responsibilities
The Information Management Officer is responsible for overseeing the regular information management activities within International Medical Corps. This role ensures the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of data across various programs, including Health, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Protection. The Information Management Officer will technically supervise Program Data Officers to ensure alignment with reporting requirements and organizational standards.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

1- Information Management Coordination and Oversight:
- Develop and maintain an effective information management system to support the organization’s programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- In coordination with IT database personnel, create and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
2-Technical Supervision of Program Data Officers:
- Provide technical guidance and support to Program Data Officers in Health, MHPSS, and Protection teams.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of data to ensure consistency and reliability.
- In coordination with the MEAL coordinator, develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management and reporting approaches.
- Organize training sessions for Program Data Officers to enhance their data management skills. Ensure this knowledge is cascaded to all system end users.
3- Data Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and practices.
- Monitor data entry processes and perform regular data validation checks.
- Identify and address data discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Implement data cleaning processes to ensure high-quality data.
4-Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports for donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and meet the required standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data management processes and activities.
5-Collaboration and Capacity Building:
- Work closely with program teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored support.
- Foster a collaborative environment for data sharing and knowledge exchange.
- Conduct capacity-building activities for staff to improve data literacy and management skills.
6- System Development and Innovation:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in information management and data technologies.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve data management efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed in this document are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and not necessarily all inclusive.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information management or a related role.
- Experience working in the humanitarian sector, preferably with an NGO.
- Proven experience in data analysis, database management, and reporting.
- Experience in supervising and training staff.
