Responsibilities
Under the supportive supervision of the Deputy Country Director and in close collaboration with the other members of the management team, you will be able to thrive in your role as a Senior Grants Officer.
1.Programs Reporting
•Contribute to the country’s programmatic strategy.
•Ensure all designed projects are coherent with HEKS/EPER Syria mission strategy and adherence to donors’ requirements.
•Adapt/update the existing program follow-up tools/dashboards and develop a program-oriented quality management approach and associated tools (SOPs, guidelines, templates, etc.).
•Set up and manage a documentation archiving system according to HEKS/EPER’s physical and digital requirements.
•Upon request
oSupport the finance team in preparing external donor audits or capacity assessments.
o Conduct training sessions on compliance requirements and best practices.
oUpdate of 4Ws and intersectoral reporting
oAttendance to sectoral meetings
•Responsible for the management of all internal and external reporting aspects:
oIn coordination with the different departments, preparation, review and submission (after validation) of narrative and financial reports (and annexes) in line with HEKS/EPER’s standards and donor’s requirements. This includes (but is not limited to) the Syria mission annual report, Project reports, consortium reports, and monthly/quarterly reports to local authorities as and when needed.
oContribute to information gathering regarding context and humanitarian needs.

2.Grant development, acquisition, and management:
•Update donor mapping files and -when needed- interact with country-level sectors and donors.
•Responsible for following up calls for proposals, developing good-quality concept notes, expression of interest applications and project proposals with required annexes, project modifications/amendments (Cost/ No-cost Extensions)
•Lead the preparation, review and signature of donor contracts and amendments.
•Organize grants kick-off, review, close-out and ad-hoc meetings.
•Support the program team in project design when needed.

3.Compliance:
•The Sr. Grants Officer will be responsible for updating the coordination team on donor’s guidelines and complaints.
•S/He supports the team in monitoring donors' contractual requirements and monitors operational developments, including budgetary, to propose necessary contractual modifications.

4.Communication
•Prepare communication strategies/plans for the ongoing projects based on identified needs.
•Coordinate and support the production of communication/visibility materials (photos, videos, stories) and tools (for internal and external use), including project fact sheets, maps, thematic reports, advocacy papers, case studies, infographics, etc. to be used at local (Authorities, Humanitarian stakeholders) or international (HQ requests to feed information/fundraising campaigns).

2.Professional experience
•At least two year’s experience in a Management Role in INGO
•At least two year’s experience in MEL and/or Grants Management
•Deep understanding of donors' requirements
3.Knowledge and skills
•English: Fluent (spoken/written) mandatory
•Arabic: Mandatory
•French / German is a plus
•Proficient user of MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.),
•Familiar with GMS platform use
4.PERSONAL SKILLS
•Important organization and rigor skills
•Excellent data analysis and report-writing skills
•Representation skills
