Responsibilities
• Facilitate activities in the community center for the beneficiaries, including organizing and facilitating recreational and PSS activities such as arts, sports, non-formal education, life skills as well as awareness and support sessions.
• Ethically and confidentially collect and store data.
• Participate in the preparation of all relevant reports writing a detailed weekly activity plan, indicating specifically the aim and the objectives of the activities.
• Help in closely monitoring results achieved with the beneficiaries with medium/high risk levels of vulnerability.
• Listen and respond to beneficiaries’ suggestions for the activities to be implemented.
• Refer a case to the best course of action when needed.
• Outreach activities to raise awareness about Dorcas’ activities within the community with community lead leaders.
• Participating in evaluation focus groups and meetings.
• Perform, as required, other tasks directed by the management.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, counseling. Master’s is a plus.
• 1-2 years of working experience in an NGO, INGO is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Arabic. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability with a high sense of humanitarian work.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
The Awareness sessions facilitator is accountable to the project officer. They will be based in Aleppo with frequent travel to project locations or conduct home visits. They will facilitate activities in the community center for beneficiaries including delivering PSS activities.
