Responsibilities
1. Conduct monitoring & evaluation of Oxfam gender running projects with implementing Partners in view of reducing risk and ascertaining implementation rates against agreed indicators. This includes expenditure and annual reporting.
2. Provide advice and support to the Project Managers in the implementation of the key gender components across the crisis response interventions.
3. Monitor and report on the Gender Thematic Fund, or other funds with gender clearer objectives that are allocated to the country-specific interventions.
4. Works closely with Gender Advisor, Programme Managers and Gender Focal Points to develop, implement and monitor Humanitarian Gender Equality Plans.
5. Provide technical support on integration of gender into country programming implementation phases.
6. Provides support to establish a network of local and remote technical experts/mechanisms to mentor and enhance capacity of potential partners (women’s rights partners, the young people, etc.).
7. Co-ordinates and manages training on gender sensitisation for staff, partners and other stakeholders.
8. Attend sector/cluster meetings in the region as directed by the gender coordinator.
9. Prepares monthly reports on programme progress on gender and women’s rights activities.


Qualifications
• University/College qualification in the relevant field (e.g. programme/ project management, gender studies, social sciences or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
• An understanding experience of working in the humanitarian sector (social economic situation, local authorities local NGOs, etc.)
• An understanding and sensitivity to poverty, gender and diversity issues.
• Demonstrated capacity of social and communication skills and ability to work with others and as part of the team.
• Excellent grasp of English in written and oral communication.
• Willingness and eager to learn about organizational procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
• Commitment to a rights-based approach, gender equality and protection.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in insecure environments and a high level of adaptability and initiative.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in computer usage, particularly MS. Office.
