Responsibilities
- Mapping and updating relevant GBV prevention and response actors in provinces (who, what, where);
- Ensuring that analyses are carried out on the GBV situations in focus areas and documented for all actors to use.
- Establishing reporting and monitoring mechanisms to ensure coordination of efforts and activities of members and relevant stakeholders.
- Mapping and updating all research activities on GBV and gap identification in GBV research and related possible actors in addressing the gaps in data collection. Assisting in the collection and analysis of age- and sex disaggregated data and train actors as needed.
- Providing a forum for sharing information on activities, identifying needs and gaps in prevention, protection and response, as well as for planning GBV inter-agency activities and development and implementation of joint projects and programs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all services available to GBV survivors and vulnerable women and girls to initiate, oversee and ensure proper use of the referral pathway in the provision of case management services, and ensure tools are in place and active follow up on referred cases to ensure timely response.
- Strengthening the capacity of governmental bodies, NGOs and humanitarian staff to prevent and respond to GBV by organizing trainings, providing technical support and tapping into existing training/capacity development opportunities.
- Active liaising with relevant cluster working groups to ensure that GBV issues are integrated into all humanitarian response efforts.
- Identify issues of gender-based violence and referral to diverse services
- Develop and update a list of criteria for needs assessment and courses aimed at raising awareness about gender-based violence issues.
- Ensure that protection staff (including implementing partner team members) are properly trained and equipped to do their jobs..
- Ensure that gender standards are maintained and developed in all projects.
- Attend Gender Task Force monthly meetings and report on gender issues.


Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor degree in International Law, Political Science, Psychology, Social Science, or other related fields and previous experience with other organizations working in Syria.
- Minimum of 2 years job experience in Protection/Child Protection/GBV and Knowledge of GBVWGs
- Good negotiator in working with local NGOs and local authority
- Fluent in written and spoken English
