• Ensure that appropriate finance systems are maintained, and that all procedures and controls are implemented
• Ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for
• Manage bank accounts and the reconciliation of bank accounts
• Liaise with bank to ensure that branch bank mandates are current and up to date
• Monitor cash-flow, and ensure that sufficient funds are always available in bank
• Ensures the payroll and payroll related transfers such as social security, tax on salaries, and other payments.
• Prepare the monthly financial accounting reports at the end of each month, and submit them to Administration Coordinator by designated deadline
• Ensure the budget follow-up and budget forecast in coordination with the other departments
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and accounts to donors, as requested
• Provide any other financial information, as requested, and respond to any other financial queries
• Liaise regularly with budget holders
• Assist any audit undertaken
• Act as team leader to other finance staff
• Assist in developing adequate systems to facilitate accurate recording and reporting of financial data, and help other staff to understand and work with them
• Provide financial management support for project
• Provide support to the office in all other financial matters
• Establish and agree on key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals – in case of managerial position
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the non-disclosure of any information whatsoever relating to the practices and business of SIF, acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organization without authority, except in the normal execution of duty
• Perform other duties as required.

• Minimum of BA. CMA and/or CPA and/or MBA is a PLUS
• Experience in senior finance positions, preferably with INGOs
• Significant experience in or knowledge of non-profit accounting and finance

• Commitment to recruiting, monitoring , training and retaining a diverse team, with foresight and ability to delegate accordingly
• Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
• Personal qualities of integrity and credibility, mature and proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with SIF Management, the responsibility for finance
• Multi-tasking with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, successful track record in setting priorities, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable decision making
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, Arabic & English
• Collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
• Strong commitment to developing team members
• Skills in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending financial policies and procedures
