Responsibilities

1- Prepare, compile and sort programme’s documents for data entry.
2- Insert programme’s data (text based and numerical information) from source documents into database.
3- Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
4- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
5- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
6- Scan, archive and index programme’s documents and print files.
7- Type correspondence, reports and other materials as required.
8- Perform other clerical or administrative work needed to run the archive.

Note: This is a temporary, field based, and part-time position, at times with short-notice assignments.




Qualifications
Qualifications
1. Certificate/one-year experience in Microsoft Office Programs is required>
2. High school is required; Diploma is a plus.
3. Previous experience in admin/clerical/data entry work is required.
4. Good in both Arabic and English.
5. Typing speed and accuracy.
6. Good knowledge in operating office machinery (printer, scanner).

About us
NRC is a non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian, independent organisation. It provides assistance to people affected by crises & i.e. refugees, internally displaced people, host communities etc. - to meet their immediate humanitarian needs, prevent further displacement and contribute to durable solutions.
NRC was established in 1946 under the name Aid to Europe, to assist refugees in Europe after World War II. After almost 70 years of interventions all over the world, today NRC is organised as an independent and private foundation that cooperates closely with the UN and other humanitarian organisations, around the world as well as in Norway. NRCs funding base is not only diverse but also flexible, counting a number of different donors including the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations. In 2014 NRC assisted more than four million displaced and conflict-affected people around the world, and raised more than USD 250 million for our humanitarian programming. Currently NRC operates in 25 countries worldwide with over 5,000 staff members, the majority of which are national employees. All NRC projects are supervised by the Head Office of the organization in Oslo while in the Middle East, NRC country offices report to a regional office based in Amman. All the programs are implemented in close coordination with governments and local authorities.
The type of activities implemented in each context varies from country to country depending on the needs on the ground and priorities laid out in strategic response plans of Governments and the UN. However NRC mainly specialises in five programme areas: Education, Shelter, WASH, Food Security as well as supporting displacement affected population to access further services. Moreover, extensive expertise has been gained by the organization over the years also on Collective Shelters Coordination and Management.
In addition, NRC provides expertise as a strategic partner to the UN as well as to national and international actors including governments and line ministries- through its stand-by rosters. Only in 2014 almost 600 humanitarian experts were deployed to 49 countries, making NRCs rosters the most used expert deployment capacity in the humanitarian world.
Finally, NRC promotes and sustains efforts at different levels to keep high the attention on the condition and situation of displaced and vulnerable people affected by ongoing crisis.
