Responsibilities
 Participate in planning, implementation and monitoring of the ICRC livestock program.
 Assess the humanitarian situation and needs, particularly in the field of economic security, livestock and livelihoods of the affected population.
 Establish solid relations with the line ministries and maintain regular coordination with the relevant humanitarian actors.
 Assist in developing and running field activities.
 Participate actively in the development of strategies, plans, project proposals and programs linked to livestock activities
 Ensure an effective collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branches and headquarter as the key operational partner of the ICRC in Syria
 Follow up the progress of livestock and livelihood activities through office work and regular field visits.
 Generate statistical and narrative reports as required
 Translates from Arabic to English and vice versa when required.


Qualifications
 University degree in Veterinary Medicine.
 Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the same field, livestock will be an asset.
 Good command of written and spoken English.
 Good computer skills.
 Good analytical skills.
