Responsibilities

1. To implement financial controls in the businesses which prevent misuse and misappropriation of funds or assets and inefficient cost control.
2. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
3. Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
4. Seek out methods for minimising financial risk.
5. Assist in the management of administrative, human resources, financial and budgetary aspects of all Aura activities
6. Evaluate financial reports and take action to resolve anomalies and unusual trends. In coordination with the CEO and advises actions to be taken regarding unusual trends.
7. Track possible discrepancies and undertake the required corrective actions to facilitate the reconciliation of the expenditures.
8. Prepare and revise budgets. Analyse variances between budget and actual expenditures. Review and consolidate budgets and narrative.
9. Oversight of financial expenditure and accountability; undertake financial analysis in all Aura locations.
10. Oversee and supervise the smooth functioning of the Finance, HR, and Procurement units, including compliance with Aura policies and procedures.
11. Evaluate and verifies service providers, suppliers, contractors and financial reports.
12. Overseeing and control of the purchasing department ensuring the right item is purchased at the most competitive price and ensure that all purchases are recorded in the system in a timely manner.
13. Forecasting cash flows according to the activities in Aura
14. Review agreements and contracts with various service providers, suppliers, contractors, in coordination with the CEO and the relevant departments.
15. Assist in managing the human resources unit and implement and make recommendations on recruitment, retention, promotion, and separation of staff accordance with HR polices and rules and help to resolve difficult or sensitive cases.
16. Review existing systems and procedures and, if necessary, recommend possible improvements to strengthen internal monitoring, evaluation and control systems and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
17. Establish instructions and procedures taking into consideration the volume of activities, staffing and the constraints and specific business needs in the areas of general administration, finance, procurement and human resources.
18. Manage the procurement and logistic services, oversee the management of the fleet of vehicles and maintenance of buildings as well as the functioning of all support services at Aura
19. Risk management of assets, currency, credit and liquidity
20. Manage and coordinate internal and external audits.
21. Perform any other duties maybe assigned.


Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or
• Accountants (ACCA) will be an advantage.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
• Experience in finance analysis, management, accounting and budgeting
• Good knowledge of procurement and human resources management
