Responsibilities
-Management of Water Sanitation and Hygiene team in Damascus, ensuring correct organization and planning of the Water Sanitation and Hygiene team to meet deadlines timely.
-Divide tasks and organize the field visit of the technical team, to ensure correct following-up of the activities.
-Correct and validate all the technical reports coming from the technical teams based in Damascus.
-Ensure the coordination with the MoWR and the Water Units, to harmonize the work and avoid duplication.
-ensure the program is implemented according to the schedule, budget, local& international standards, and the WASH program objectives.
-Work closely with other AAH sectors in the mission.
-Contribute substantially to developing proposals, budgets and concept notes in coordination with the other coordinators
- Organize and monitor materials, equipment and supplies related to Water Sanitation and Hygiene activities.
- Monitor and evaluate appropriate implementation of projects in accordance with program objectives and AAH s Program Framework
-Supervise and oversee implementation and coordination of activity plans for the ongoing projects particularly on water trucking, minor maintenance &rehabilitation of water sanitation infrastructures.
-Participate actively in building DoW s staff capacity in a work plan development and report to ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of activities.
-Recommend capacity building/development plan for DoW staff and ensure DoW staff understands and follows AAH and donor policies and procedures.
-Preparation of BOQ s and technical specifications for the on-going projects.

Qualifications
-Engineers Degree, Experience as engineer in private or public institution is an asset.
-Advanced M&E tools and methodologies.
-Strong knowledge in project formulation, implementation and monitoring.
-Advanced Water Sanitation and Hygiene needs assessments and data analysis skills.
-Excellent knowledge of project cycle management.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
-Experience in implementing Water Sanitation and Hygiene interventions for at least 3 year.
-Experience in managing staff
-Previous experience in the humanitarian field (at least 1 year).
-Advanced knowledge of MS Office mandatory,
-Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS)
- Mobility (national/ international)
