Responsibilities
Ensure the professional follow up on the assistance to the beneficiaries and the quality control of their animal productions.
• Support the local partner and AVSI staff in the selection phase of the beneficiaries based on the arranged criteria.
• Support the logistics department in the procurement process regarding the livestock, vaccination, fodder.
• Support the implementation of technical training to improve farmers’ technical and management skills.
• Provide continuous technical assistance/counseling to farmers to improve the animal production (both, qualitative and quantitative).
• Ensure the introduction of new technics to ensure the improvement of the animal productions.
• Support activities to improve the business skills of the farmers as per project design.
• Promote capacity building and technical skills to local partner.
• Facilitate organization and follow up of home visits involving the local partner.
• Perform any other relevant duties as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in veterinary medicine preferably in animal production
3 year of working experience in animal production and in particular field work experience
3 year of working experience in animal production and in particular field work experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
• Good attitude and experience in working with farmers, partners and allies
• Excellent communication skills in building relationships with local contacts
• Well-developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible and sensitive in demanding situations
