Responsibilities
1. Monitor and analyze core network & IP backbone (IPBB) performance on a regular basis through network counters measurements and (Nexus).
2. Report detected performance problems, observations and recommendations to the concerned entity, recommend solutions and follow up solving the problems with the concerned entity.
3. Form and validate new indicators for core network &IPBB performance and prepare thresholds for key performance indicators for old and new hardware, software release and technology.
4. Implement researches and case study for best practice based on network performance results to come up with suggestions for best practice about network performance and recommended settings.
5. Analyze Syriatel core network & IPBB performance results; compare them against Syriatel network performance thresholds, ITU standards and supplier’s parameters to enhance performance accordingly.
6. Support Technical Department in the troubleshooting of network general problems.
7. Prepare regular core network & IPBB performance reports.
8. Implement physical site audit for core sites as per yearly plan, report audit results, provide recommendations and follow up solving detected problems with Technical Department and rollout subcontractor.
9. Contribute in proposing new core network monitoring tools and upgrade existing tools.
10. Benchmark core network performance against time, before and after putting new network node in service, hardware expansion, software upgrade and new service or feature activation.
11. Conduct root cause analysis for frequently repeated problems in services, recommend solutions and follow up with the concerned entities the implementation of solutions.
12. Prepare (Nexus) yearly requirements based on network design.
13. Coordinate with MIS & IT service supplier (ITECH) to maintain and support (Nexus) infrastructure.
14. Coordinate with Technical-Core Network Unit, supplier and rollout subcontractor to integrate (Nexus).
15. Supervise supplier installation, commissioning and configuration of (Nexus) and verify its functionality.
16. Check (Nexus) performance by generating performance reports ,and channeling detected problems to the supplier, follow up with concerned entity till solving the problems.

Qualifications
A) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecom, Networks, Electronics).
B) Experience: 1-2 Years Relevant Experience in Telecom are required.
