Responsibilities:
• Where possible, conduct both qualitative and quantitative data collection (for PDMs, DDMs, evaluation and research) through face to face or by phone.
• Maintain effective and updated archive system by continuously filling electronic and hard copies of any MEAL documents such as questionnaires, feedback forms etc.
• With the support of the MEAL Officer, set – up a help desk during distribution to receive feedback from beneficiaries.
• Where required, support the programme teams with conducting rapid assessments in their areas.
• Conduct timely pre-and post-activity implementation visits to project sites to collect baseline and end line information as per plan and in the ascribed forms/format.
• Prepare and timely submit reports for any activities conducted and attended such as field visit reports, meeting minutes etc.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing the activities implemented and the progress of implementation of the activities.
• Where possible, respond to beneficiaries’ formal/informal feedback during field visits and data collection.
• Coordinate with other field teams to plan and implement MEAL activities in the field.
• Coordinate with Oxfam’s partner staff in the field for joint planning and implementation of MEAL activities such as PDMs, DDMs and help desks.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

• Good computer skills especially in Microsoft word and excel with specific experience in database design and management using excel.
• Possess basic report writing skills

• Demonstrate a strong commitment and passion to the realisation of Oxfam’s principles and approach.
• Team player and possess networking and influencing abilities.
• Professionally skilled in verbal and written communication, and able to address people in a friendly and respectful manner
• Ability to work in a team, with good and friendly interpersonal skills
• Excellent understanding of gender and safe programming issues.
• Fluent in written and oral English.
• From al-Qalamoun area or have work experience in the area (well known for him/her )

While Oxfam has been present in the region since 1970, it began operating in Syria through its Damascus based presence in July 2013. Since then, Oxfam has been responding to both the urgent WASH needs for vulnerable people, and has been working on the rehabilitation of water systems in order to provide durable, more sustainable solutions to the affected populations. Interventions implemented under Oxfam's WASH Programme include: Provision of Acute Emergency Life-Saving WASH Services, Rehabilitation of Water Systems, Hygiene Promotion and Water Conservation, Capacity Building and Training, and Improved Emergency WASH Coordination. To date, Oxfam has been worked in 10 governorates, seeking out to over 2.5 million beneficiaries.
