Responsibilities
• Collect data and provide updated information on financial and administrative status of shelter activities of the project for analysis and report purposes
• Assist and manage project expenditures, ensure budget is strictly adhered to, financial procedures are respected and all supporting documentations are submitted as per required schedule
• Assist in conducting a thorough assessment of the proposed sites, analyzing labor requirements, costs and timeframes, and taking into consideration the successes and constraints at all sites
• Draft project progress reports and submit on the progress of activities and challenges faced
• Daily field visits to potential units to make a technical evaluation and to draw sketch for the present situation;
• Reproduce unit’s sketches drawn on the field into CAD drawings;
• Prepare a complete Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for the unit technically evaluated on the field;
• Field supervision of the project sites
• Daily visit to the project sites assessing the quality and quantity of the work done by the contractor (very good knowledge of materials, specification and prices)
• dealing with workers and beneficiaries
• Daily reporting to the project officer ensuring targets are met
• Work continuously with the S.P.O and monitor achievement of the project in accordance with beneficiaries.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
University Degree in (Civil) Engineering, certificate in building/construction or related technical qualification
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in monitoring construction and managing contractors is highly desirable
• Experience in community based approaches to construction
• Familiarity with the minimum construction standards (eg., Shelter Sector Standards)
• Report writing skills and computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, Power point
• Experience in conducting surveys, managing data and statistics is desirable
• Knowledge of the INGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus
• A previous experience with an international NGO/Private organization
• Computer skills Microsoft office, AutoCAD, Internet
• Fluency in Arabic and good working English knowledge
