Responsibilities
- The ultimate responsibility for the kitchen, chefs, food, cooking, and cleaning
- Check, monitor and organize the kitchen in all its parts on a daily bases.
- Check and request the needed food for the kitchen to cook hot meals daily, weekly, monthly.
- In charge of testing food before and after the cooking, and of reporting to line manager in case of any issue
- In charge of training and organizing the cooks.
- Prepare bulk and fresh food needs a report on daily, weekly basis.
- Daily check of the kitchen equipment's situation, to train the - team on how to work with it, to check the gas network situation every day.
- Be responsible of and manage the conservation process of food in the fridge, refrigerator, warehouse.
- Coordinate with the field officers about the beneficiary's preferences on the food menu and report any needed changes to the line manager.
- Preparing weekly menus that reach the minimum standard of 2100 kcal for each beneficiary/ day.
- Coordinate the kitchen hygiene needs on a daily bases, and keep sure that the kitchen is always under a high hygiene quality standard.
- In charge of all hot meals are cooked and distributed in high hygiene conditions.
- In charge of cooking the suitable amount of quality and safe food for the targeted number of beneficiaries on a daily bases.



Qualifications
- +4 years’ experience as a Chef
- Experience in food and catering trends with knowledge on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Management experience
- Experience supervising and/or assigning training for kitchen staff
- Experience planning a variety of menus on a daily basis
- Knowledge of food supplies, equipment and services, ordering and inventory control
