The incumbent of the position is responsible provide reasonable assurance as during audit missions that the followed procedures in FMFI-S are well aligned with the in place policies, procedures, standards and budgets. Internal auditor is also responsible for detecting anomalies and inconsistencies; and comes up with well thought out recommendations in order to address the raised issues
University degree, with Major in accounting, banking or IT auditing, Information system security assurance.
Good experience preferred in the relevant field.
Good knowledge in spoken and written English; Sufficient level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
Coordination, Communication, Time Management, Customer Service, Negotiation Skills. Knowledge of Syrian market.
Analysis and problem solving orientation.
Flexibility, Integrity, Enthusiasm towards work, Ability to work in confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure.
Damascus city resident.
Military service statuses of either finished or are exempt.
Minimum Commitment is Five years at working place at least.
Candidates with information system Audit background are preferred.
Ability to travel inside Syria.

The First MicroFinance Institution (FMFI-Syria) is a legal and independent entity established by the Agha Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM). Its mandate is to alleviate poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations, and reduce economic and social exclusion by establishing sustainable institutions that extend a broad range of innovative financial services to underserved population. FMFI-S services cover seven governorates through eight branches and six service units in Damascus, Sweida, Aleppo, Lattakia, Tartous, Salamieh, Masyaf, and Homs.
