Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Mission and the direct supervision of the Project Manager and Senior Management, the employee will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in day to day activities and long term strategic planning. This will include: assisting field engineers on training, gathering and analysis of project data, conducting needs assessments and training development, planning and financial management. The employee will also be responsible for the following functions:

- Collect and manage all essential beneficiary documents from site engineers.
- Scan, copy and archive beneficiary data (hard and soft copies), for retention, reference and transfer to donor.
- Collate all project photographs (before, during and after) including GPS information, review of all pictures and advise field staff on correct procedures.
- Responsible for creating copies of GPS data and sending to data entry personnel.
- Responsible for uploading required information into donor databases, at the frequency required in the agreements.
- In coordination with Project Manager, forward copies of documentation to donor (as requested or within scheduled reports).
- In coordination with the Project Manager, support field teams in preparing the project handover report;
- Receiving communication from field staff regarding work progress and any problems; transmitting this information to the project manager for possible solutions and responding appropriately.
- Send daily and weekly reports regarding all project sites to project manager.
- Participate in interview and selection of project staff upon request by project manager.
- Actively participate, as needed, in weekly and monthly meetings with project staff to discuss project progress and problems; translating information to the project manager.
- In coordination with the Project Manager and Senior Management, review, check and adopt the projects rapid technical assessments/surveys/questionnaires and further detailed technical assessments;
- In coordination with the technical unit, review, check and adopt the projects’ implementation time-plans (MS-Project/primavera), AutoCAD drawings, Shop-drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- In coordination with the Project Manager, finalize and adopt the projects detailed BoQs (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications.
- Assist the project manager as a technical advisor on the assigned project site for RSRP’s Field Engineers, contractors and subcontractors;
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work is being carried out as per design drawings, specifications and to meet planned dates and schedule, receive instructions from the project manager to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other issues/problems that may arise and oversee quality control, health and safety matters on assigned project sites.
- Support the Project Manager in translating the projects technical visions into defined goals;
- In coordination with the Project Manager review and develop a comprehensive and detailed implementation plan;
- In coordination with the Project Manager, propose cost-effective solutions and proposals for RSRP’s intended projects;
- Ensure that you receive and record any communication regarding changes in project documentation and share the impacts with the Project Manager;
- Review and edit any reports indicated by both the Project Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer; as needed (weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, final, narrative and closing reports, before/during/after photo reports);
- Conduct monitoring site visit to assess the completed works by RSRP’s assigned contractors and verifying the percentage complete to Project Manager and Senior Management;
- Adhere to RSRP standards and code of conduct especially towards confidentiality of information and data protection, principle of neutrality and gender equality; and
- Perform any other duties as and when required.

Qualifications
- Business Administration or relevant degree of education required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience of collaboratively working with local authorities, partners and NGOs
- Thorough technical knowledge of humanitarian reconstruction projects
- Experience with WASH standards
- Capacity building experience, including identification of training needs and training experience
- Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation techniques and a good grasp of project cycle management.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative;
- Report writing skills; strong computer (MS Office), filing and organizational skills;
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
