Under the overall supervision of the Head of Mission and the direct supervision of the Regional Program Manager and Project Manager, the mobilized Education Program Associate will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the education programme and will be responsible for the following functions:
- Contributes to the implementation of RSRP’s education program activities in emergency by conducting field workshops and training activities to the targeted groups (children or youth) in the selected areas and locations;
- Manages the flow of information within the department and RSRP to ensure timely disbursement of information;
- Contributes to the preparation of reports, project documents and submissions to stakeholders by providing information, preparing tables and drafting routine sections;
- Participates in the preparation of equipment and materials required for workshops and campaigns and ensures their timely availability;
- Participates in organizing the location of education project activities, invites and encourages individuals to participate and classifies the participants (children or youth) before starting the workshop;
- Provides feedback to the Regional Program Manager and Project Manager following each assignment and prepare reports as requested;
- Supports the identification and understanding of education, training, and PSS needs in current or new operation areas;
- Facilitates conducting SLP activities in RSRP projects’ location;
- Attends and participates in all required RSRP facilitated trainings, updates and reporting on meetings;
- Participates in all education sector meetings and sub-group meetings and workshops and reports back to management;
- Contributes in registering beneficiary data in workshops and trainings and counting total number of participants attending;
- Supports the team in following up on all contractual agreements pertaining to contractors and consultants in close co-operation with HR; Regional Program Manager and Project Manager, as well on all respective time sheet;
- Maintains a strong relationship with the participants and foster future participation in any upcoming events by creating a friendly and welcoming learning space for participants;
- Promotes and shares ideas for technical improvement;
- Drafts projects’ handover report to governmental assigned committees and beneficiaries when applicable;
- Assists in preparing and archiving necessary projects’ documentations (soft and hard copies);
- Adheres to RSRP standards and code of conduct especially towards confidentiality of information and data protection, principle of neutrality and gender equality; and
- Performs any other duties when required.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Education/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Social Sciences;
- Previous experience of working on facilitating educational, psychosocial support, recreational activities/trainings with children/youth outside schools or teaching in schools;
- Experience of working in a humanitarian/recovery context or equivalent is a plus;
- Previous experience of working on facilitating educational, psychosocial support, recreational activities/trainings with children/youth outside schools or teaching in schools;
- Experience of working in a humanitarian/recovery context or equivalent is a plus;
- Knowledge of the humanitarian context in Syria;
- Experience in facilitating the capacity building efforts of diverse colleagues, including local partner agencies;
- Demonstratable ability to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring and other formal and non-formal methods;
- Analytic and computer skills, including advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and Visio);
- Results driven, ability to work under pressure and to meet required deadlines; and
- Fluency in Arabic & English, both written and verbal.
