Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor health programmes program within the assigned geographic area.
• Conduct assessments and regular field visits to monitor activities and health-related threats to the population.
• Participate in analysis of the overall health situation and contribute to project proposals and planning of health programmes.
• Ensure proper management of information collected and appropriate, relevant reporting.
• Coordinate ICRC health activities with the Directorate of Health
• Maintain regular contacts with Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Damascus and Rural Damascus and other branches.
• Maintain regular contacts with the Directorate of Health, UN agencies, and NGOs
• Contribute to workshops and seminars in Syria.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.

Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine.
• Qualifications in public health or health management a strong asset
• Minimum 5 years of total work experience, including 2 years of clinical experience Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Very good computer skills
• Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent humanitarian organization, which has been permanently present in Syria since 1967. The ICRC works closely and supports the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) organization to provide food, water, healthcare and other forms of relief assistance to people affected by the fighting. The ICRC also visits people detained and helps them to stay in contact with their families. This service is also provided to families separated as a result of the fighting.
