Responsibilities
• Contribute to the implementation and running of specific projects / programmes covering Damascus and Rural Damascus.
• Contribute to the analyses of political, economic, social and cultural aspects Damascus and Rural Damascus.
• Develop and maintain good contact with authorities, and Syrian Arab Red Crescent and other humanitarian body’s domain.
• Presents the ICRC principles, mandate and activities to interlocutors and beneficiaries at a district level.
• Plan and organises field trips.
• Contribute to written reporting.
• Translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.

Qualifications
• Minimum High School Degree.
• 3 - 5 year work experience in a similar field.
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Very good computer skills.
• Good geographical knowledge of the assigned area.
• Good analytical skills.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent humanitarian organization, which has been permanently present in Syria since 1967. The ICRC works closely and supports the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) organization to provide food, water, healthcare and other forms of relief assistance to people affected by the fighting. The ICRC also visits people detained and helps them to stay in contact with their families. This service is also provided to families separated as a result of the fighting.
