Responsibilities
- Work closely with SARC and IMC’s Partners along with other WASH team members to reduce the risk of water and sanitation related communicable diseases.
- Work on program projects’ life-cycles including all processes starting with the needs assessments, baseline studies, periodic studies, monitoring and evaluation, and help sharing findings with all stakeholder.
- Update the procurement and work plans under WASH program, follow up indicators’ tracking sheets, pipelines and the implementation of activities to ensure achieving set target and program’s objectives.
- Analyse program data and propose strategies for program development/implementation.
- Develop activities plans to reduce WASH-related risks and diseases by identifying key hygiene practices to be addressed, carry out appropriate activities and involve affected people in targeted communities using participatory approaches.
- Conduct participatory monitoring/evaluation for all WASH activities in the field and the community (in coordination with the concerned technical teams).
- Involve in developing program reports in a timely manner—including weekly SITREP and monthly/quarterly reports as required for all WASH program activities.
- Represent IMC through coordination meetings as required.
- Identify needs for non-food items and participate in the choice of items, distribution, targeting strategy and promotion of effective use.
- Liaise with community leaders and other local sector partners and agencies working locally for joint ventures.
- Participate in IMC’s hygiene promotion activities in the field and any other responsibilities arise related to the job position.
- Develop plans for new program activities such as water supply infrastructure and maintenance of WASH facilities.


Qualifications
- University Degree graduate, preferably in public health, community development, behavior change or any other related major.
- Three years’ experience working in water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programs.
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages.
- Excellent competences using computer.
- Dynamic and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work within a team and has communication skills and facilitation skills
- Writing and reporting skills in English language will be an added value.
