Responsibilities
The Protection Officer will be working under the direct supervision of Protection Officer based in Damascus. He/she will be responsible for following-up on matters related to the Protection projects and programs, assist Protection Officer based in Damascus & Community Services Coordinator to set up the plan and the overall framework of the Protection activities, supervise the work of the volunteers who are working for protection activities , provide guidance and technical support; coordinate the preparation of all related reports.
The Protection Officer will perform the following tasks:

• Assist Protection Officer based in Damascus & Community Services Coordinator to develop and strengthen the activities implementation procedures.
• Monitor all project activities, expenditure and progress towards achieving the project outputs.
• Assist Community Services Coordinator to further improve the logical framework for each project.
• Participate in developing the planning of future projects in light of the lessons learnt from previous ones to ensure success of the planned projects.
• Report weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress data on all project activities to the Protection Officer based on Damascus.
• Assist and supervise the field staff and support them to solve the issues faced during the implementation of the activities.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
• Supervise the volunteers who working on protection activities.
• Present SIF in the meetings and working groups.
• Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social studies or related field.
• Strong command of English Language both written and spoken for business usage and reporting.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the administrative field, data collection and reporting. Previous experience in the humanitarian field or with NGOs.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Have a good command of English in writing and speaking.
• Very good computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-point.
• Excellent English command, written and spoken.
