1- Procurement
• He / She supports the with the procurement of goods and / or services in accordance to approved procurement requests (PR) provided by various requesters within the PUI Syria mission;
• He / She conducts negotiation, tendering and purchase processes - based on pre-determined financial thresholds - in accordance to PUI procedures and guidelines;
• He / She seeks for products in the Syrian market that offer good value for money in accordance to specifications provided by the requesters; negotiates best prices with pre-qualified suppliers, and completes purchase orders until payment has been processed;
• S/He controls quality and quantity of purchased items upon reception, in coordination with the program Officer.
2-Transportation
• He / She works with the suppliers on the best means of transportation for incoming goods into PUI’s warehouse, or the desired final destination;
• He / She coordinates with PUI field logistics officers and commercial transport companies on the most efficient means of transportation for outgoing goods, based on type of commodity, quantities, weight / volume, destination, expected arrival date, etc. from PUI warehouse in Damascus to different destinations in the field or through supplier’s warehouses;
3- Warehousing
• He / She supports the logistics department with the reception of goods at the PUI’s warehouse when required;
• He / She provides support producing GRN’s for incoming goods and WB’s for outgoing goods to the field;
• He / She is in charge of managing the GRN / WB logs for proper audit trail;
• He / She ensures proper quantity and quality control for incoming goods into the warehouse. This task to be done in coordination with programs requesting the items for the quality assurance portion;
• He / she provides support performing cycle counts to the stocks based on pre-defined schedules, as well as yearly inventories;
• He / She supports the proper use of warehouse management documentation: Bin Cards, Stock Cards, inventories;
• He / she ensures regular maintenances, pest control and safety checks of the PUI warehouse are done, based on predefined schedules. These tasks must be coordinated with the facilities officer.
4- Archiving:
• He / She supports the logistics team with the information management by ensuring proper and complete archiving of all different logistics files (soft and hard copies), including procurement files, regular inventories, fleet files, upcoming payments, and any other file prepared by logistics.
5- Internal reporting
• He / She provides support to the logistics coordinator, procurement manager and IT / Safety manager with internal reporting on logistics related activities, processes and functions as per request.

• Professional qualification in logistics or equivalent (Preferred)
• Certification or training in Logistics
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistic operations.
• General knowledge of general logistics / Supply Chain components and processes
• Fluently spoken and written English
• Good command of Arabic
• General knowledge in the humanitarian sector

Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is a French non-governmental, not profit organization working in the field of international aid. PUI has been present in Syria since 2008, our mission was to provide humanitarian aids to the Iraqi refugees. In 2013, PUI signed an MOU with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent that allowed our organization to broaden its intervention in Syria to include the crisis-affected population. PUI approaches different needs with different programs such as: Education and vocational training programs, NFI distributions, rehabilitation of Collective Shelters and water trucking supply.
