• Serve as AKF’s senior expert in primary school education.
• Provide training to beneficiaries, source and coordinate national experts in the field to deliver training.
• Build the capacity of AKF’s PSDP team by retaining qualified staff, creating training opportunities and developing outcome-based performance metrics.
• Lead in the development of the curriculum of the programme including new projects.
• Create strategies to engage teachers, principals and supervisors upon completing training courses and establish communities of practice.
• Monitor trends in the fields of primary education.
• Engage regional and national education authorities on the developments of programme activities.
• Lead monitoring and evaluation activities and submit monthly reports to the PSU.
• Develop and maintain annual technical, operational and financial plans for the Primary School Development Programme team, and provide monthly reports.
• Travel to programme locations on a regular basis.

• The applicant must have university degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of education-related work experience in Syria.
• Excellent command of English and Computer skills.
• Demonstrable leadership and team work skills.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Male applicants must have finished their military service, exempted and postponed for at least one year.
