The main duty of the Caseworker will be to support the successful implementation for project in Syria in line with the donor requirements and internal policies. He / She will be responsible for assessing, selecting and directly assisting vulnerable Syrians, to meet their most urgent needs, gain access to available services and attain the highest level of independence and family sustainability possible. He/She will assist the Project Officer in all project activities to ensure the successful implementation of the project. Specifically: Conduct assessment home visits to vulnerable Syrians. Follow vulnerability assessment system to identify extremely vulnerable Syrian households as potential beneficiaries of humanitarian assistance. Collect accurate feedback information from beneficiaries to improve future programming and improve accountability. Highlight the specific needs of the client and prepare explanations and justifications for inclusion or exclusion of potential clients for provision of specific services. Any other duty assigned by the Project Officer.
o University degree in Social Work or related.
o Minimum three (3) years professional experience, preferably in the NGO sector
o Experience in conducting research, assessments and interviews a strong asset
o Experience in working with marginalized populations an asset
o Excellent report writing and communication skills
o Ability to communicate effectively with variety of people, and express oneself and concise way.
o Diplomacy
o Excellent Arabic Spoken and Written Language Skills
o Ability to Communicate and write in English
o Excellent command of MS Office and other computer programs, including good typing skills.
o Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
o Ability to travel and work outside of the Office
