Responsibilities
Under the daily supervision of Aleppo’s Programme coordinator, the Field Assistant shall support the team in the different domains of project tasks which mainly described as follows:

1- Follow up on a daily basis the field construction works and make sure all implemented works comply with specifications, drawings and contract conditions.
2- Follow up the progress of works and report to the supervisor on any deviation from project timetable.
3- Prepare daily reports contain Labors on site, machinery and executed works.
4- Prepare a measurement book for all implemented works in the field and report on any deviation from the BoQ.
5- Check the submitted quantities in the payment request of the implementing partner and inform the supervisor on any error or discrepancy between the submitted quantities and what recorded in the measurement book.
6- Prepare narrative reports on social and demographic structure of community groups, Services and infrastructure, Shelter and damage to housing and infrastructure and access to building materials.
7- Contribute to the development of field assessments to produce the sufficient description and BoQ for the intended intervention works.
8- Provide innovative solutions for emerged shelter rehabilitation problems and needs.
9- Support in construction building materials market research and analysis
10- Any other related task as requested by the supervising officer.


Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor degree in civil engineering or architecture.

Experience:
- 4 years of relevant professional experience in the area of rehabilitation and renovation of houses. Local knowledge and access to extensive community networks is an asset;
- Ability to work on MS civil engineering or architectural degree Office, MS project and Auto CAD.

Fluency in the UN and national language of the duty station.

Salary and Benefits
As per UNOPS salary scale.
